During the day, the couch offers cosy seating comfort. In just a few seconds, it can be transformed into a spacious bed with a lying surface of approx. 2 metres.
The 140 cm wide version of the bed system fits perfectly with an IKEA mattress, which is available worldwide in three firmness levels from €90 - an unbeatable price/performance ratio.
With the optional folding table, water tank and cooker holder, the rear drawer becomes a fully-fledged rear kitchen. All accessories are perfectly matched to the bed system.
The Van bed system offers a well thought-out solution for sleeping and storage space in the bus.
Even in vehicles with a short wheelbase, a lying area of around 2 metres in length is created between the tailgate and the front of the kitchen.
The integrated slatted frame saves weight and ensures optimum ventilation of the mattress. The bed thus ensures a light, comfortable sleeping experience.
The bed system is available in two widths: 120 cm and 140 cm. For the 140 cm version, IKEA offers the perfect mattress for little money - even in 3 different firmness levels!
The couch is unlocked by lifting it slightly and can then be moved lengthways on ball bearings. In the foremost position, the backrest can be folded flat with a flick of the wrist; the bed can be set up in seconds.
Thanks to the 5 locking positions, the couch can be adjusted so that you can work comfortably on the kitchen while seated.
In the front position, you have a perfect panoramic view from the couch through the sliding door.
Objects or boxes can be stowed on the tailgate shelf. The rubber band ensures that nothing falls against it when the tailgate is opened.
There is enough space on both sides between the bed and the wheel arch to accommodate long items such as camping chairs, a parasol or a yoga mat.
The drawers are designed to fit classic transport boxes - everything is in view and nothing wobbles. There's even room for a dry separation toilet!
With the optional folding table, the rear front of the rear pull-out is replaced by a bamboo panel. This can simply be folded upwards and used as a table.
The optional gas cooker incl. holder can be hooked in almost anywhere. It can be stowed safely and space-savingly in the drawer.
The drawer with folding table can also be moved when the bed is extended. This means you can slide the table right up to the bed.
The view through the sliding door: the bed system is securely anchored during the journey - either with lashing straps or by bolting it to the vehicle floor.

The bed is basically universal and therefore fits into any standard van - or it can be made to fit very easily!
It is important that there is a flat surface of at least 100 x 192 cm in the vehicle. Unfortunately, the bed cannot be folded over the rear seat bench when it is folded down. CampingBox Vario in question.
Up to 20 cm can be cut away at any point on each side of the bed (for the 140 cm wide version). This means that the bed can be easily adapted to the vehicle or the interior panelling in places such as the tailgate opening. Off-centre positioning is also possible without any problems.
We offer customisation to the vehicle in the form of “fitting“ for most vehicles ex works - simply select your vehicle model in the last step of the configurator.

On fastest, safest and easiest is when the bed in the vehicle via lashing straps on the original load securing eyelets is attached. Why? The lashing eyes are usually bolted directly to the vehicle body and are designed to secure loads in the vehicle. Lashing straps are also designed to secure loads and the corresponding attachment points on the bed are also located at the most stable points. The matching lashing straps (4 pcs.) are already included in the scope of delivery.
However, you can also screw the bed system to the wooden floor or to the rail system, for example. We recommend connecting the side walls of the module to stable points in the vehicle using 4 (metal) brackets.
No, no special floor plate is required. It is secured using existing lashing points, which every vehicle has.
The 140 cm wide version is exactly IKEA mattress customised. You can get the right mattress at any time, anywhere in the world and in 3 different quality levels/degrees of firmness. At the same time, this mattress has an unbeatable price-performance ratio with a price starting at 100 euros.
Alternatively you can always for our Customised comfort mattress decide. It consists of a 12 cm thick cold foam and has a removable and washable cover. The comfort mattress is also precisely matched to the fitting of the bed and therefore 100% perfectly adapted to the interior contours of your vehicle.
With the 120 cm wide version we have a suitable Base mattress. It is rectangular, divided into 3 sections and made of 10 cm thick foam. The cover is grey, removable and washable.
Alternatively, you can of course also use your own mattress or make one yourself (or have one made).
Yes, you only need to loosen one screw from the backrest mechanism to be able to fold the backrest forwards.
The module is made from 9 or 12 mm thin FSC-certified birch multiplex plywood. Thanks to our patented connection technology, the module is not only lightweight, but can also withstand all the challenges of outdoor life.
We source our wood exclusively from suppliers who practise certified, sustainable forestry (FSC® & PEFC™-certified). We use high-quality hardwood plywood (multiplex) for all products, which is known for its durability, stability and high load-bearing capacity. It is particularly dimensionally stable and resistant, which means that all our products have a very long service life.
The product consists of 99 % wood and metal and is therefore Fully recyclable. We avoid plastic wherever possible and use sustainable, environmentally friendly materials instead.
In the „Natural“ version, the modules are made of untreated birch multiplex in quality B/BB (I/II). This means that the wood is not yet protected against moisture or dirt on delivery.
The benefit is that you can design modules in nature according to your preferences: stain them in your favourite colour, paint or varnish them, stick them on, decorate them with a pencil drawing or simply clear oil them. There are no limits to your creativity.
We therefore recommend ordering the module as a kit when choosing the „Natural“ colour/finish - if available. It's easier to get into all corners on the individual part and you don't have to work around angles, for example. However, it is also possible to treat the fully assembled module.

We offer the bed in 120 and 140 cm widths as standard. However, the bed can be shortened to a width of up to 100 cm using the so-called „sacrificial surfaces“ - even in places! The approx. 100 cm wide body fits between the wheel arches of virtually any vehicle.
The length of the underframe is 192 cm. In a short VW bus, you can achieve a bed length of 200 cm even with the kitchen installed (tailgate panelling to kitchen). The bed can also be folded out as standard at a length of 182 cm.

The drawers have an internal surface area of 60.5 x 40.5 cm per compartment (i.e. 2x per drawer), the usable height at the back is 33.5 cm and 31 cm at the front.
If you remove the partition, the drawers have a base area of 60.5 x 81.5 cm.
Why is the Van bed system 140 cm wide, although there is more space in many vehicles
All our modules are available in four colours. The colours are achieved using a robust and waterproof resin coating. The RAL colour specifications are indicative and may differ from a RAL comparison chart.
Black is similar to RAL9004 and satin matt. It looks particularly modern in combination with wooden elements. Soiling and any signs of wear are more visible with black than with the other colours.
Grey is a chic mix for anyone who can't decide between black and white. It goes tone-in-tone with most interior panelling.
White is similar to RAL9001 and is also silk matt. White creates a bright, friendly atmosphere and makes the interior appear larger and airier. Soiling and signs of wear are barely recognisable.
Natur is completely untreated birch plywood. It looks very natural, but is not yet protected from moisture and dirt on delivery. Treating it with oil, varnish or stain gives it your own personal touch.
In the standard version, the bed is rectangular, comes with 2 drawers, without folding table, with adjustable backrest and 5-way length-adjustable couch. You can add the optional accessories in the configurator.
